Japanese Peace Boat visits the garden

On 14th June we hosted a visit from the Japanese-based Peace Boat, including atomic bomb survivors from Hiroshima and Nagasaki. This trip was organised by ECO-UNESCO. The visitors had a tour of the garden and helped out with some weeding and planting.

Very inspiring! I tried my hand this summer and was surprised by what I was able to grow. Your blog has inspired me to come back with even more next year.

South Circular Road Community Food Garden Project

The South Circular Road Community Food Garden Project started in April 2007. We have a derelict site on loan from ST Salvage Company that we have converted into a community food garden. This is a continuation of the initial successful Dolphins Barn Community squatted food garden that was on the canal from 2005 -2007.
