in The Garden, Rialto Day Centre, St. Andrew's Community Centre, 468 South Circular Road. Flower Sale run by Rialto Environment Group, subsidised by Dublin City Council in preparation for Rialto's entry to the National Tidy Town's Competition.

Plants dropped off today.

Artichokes – Perennial. So put them somewhere they can stay. They grow quite big – 4 ft high, and 2-3 feet wide. Celeriac – autumn/winter harvest. Need to be planted out in their final position soon. Tomatoes – from seedsavers – a variety that has been grown in Ireland for years. Planted very early, so they have got a bit leggy – fix this by planting them fairly deeply. They have been outside for a good few weeks, so they are pretty hardy.

Regular gardening is now on the following days.....Tue (630-830pm), Thur (630-830pm), Sat (200-630pm). This post is a placeholder for attendance at the regular sessions. We may be able to get an idea of the likely attendance using the comments......Just add a comment if you think you are likely to go on any particular day. Current Tasks and Topsoil

1...Move plants from studio to garden.
2...Get 2 wheelbarrows and 2 fine rakes.
3...Get money for topsoil and update garden accounts (I hope to scan in receipts to date by tomorrow).
4...Draw up garden plan....click on and print the 'framework sketch' image above if you have any ideas you'd like to see included in the garden. Draw on it and leave in the garden or email it to dolphinsbarngarden@gmail.com.
